Spirals and Tapers

Tapers are used to stretch your piercing to the next size to accommodate larger jewellery. While it may be necessary to wear the taper for a short time (eg. a day or two) to allow the piercing to settle before fitting a plug or tunnel, they are not ideal for long term wear as they can weigh down your ear and irritate your piercing.


Spirals are more suitable for long term wear but they can be less effective for stretching to the next size.
