Medusa Piercing

This ‘Medusa’ piercing is a piercing done on the philtrum (dent) of the upper lip directly under the nose. Officially called a philtrum piercing. It is placed directly under the septum of the nose and it is crucial to get this piercing right since if placed in the wrong way, it can alter the face symmetry. We pierce the Medusa using a labret bar. Initially there is larger jewellery inserted to allow for swelling. The larger jewellery can be downsized after a minimum of 2 weeks. Healing for a Medusa piercing takes anywhere from 1½ to 4 months. Once healed there is a range of jewellery available for you, to update your style. Available online or instore.
